The Metabolomics Innovation Centre (TMIC) is a nationally-funded research and core facility that supports a wide range of cutting-edge metabolomic studies for clinical trials research, biomedical studies, bioproducts studies, nutrient profiling and environmental testing (more about us). With more than $20M invested in state-of-the-art metabolomics equipment, TMIC scientists and collaborators have access to a comprehensive set oftools, bioinformatics resources, and scientific expertise.
The platform is led by Dr. David Wishart (University of Alberta), Dr. Christoph Borchers (University of Victoria), Dr. Liang Li (University of Alberta), and Dr. James Harynuk (University of Alberta).
At TMIC, we use real-world proven technologies, in-house innovations, and years of analytical experience to provide you with top-of-the line metabolic analysis. As scientists and service providers, we believe it is our duty to provide the best data analysis possible. We understand that funding constraints may limit your analysis abilities. That is why we will cater our services to best fit your needs, and can also provide pre-award support, including proposal development and consultation. Our mission is to provide quantitative metabolic analysis to a wide range of clients at the most reasonable prices.

We request that any publications, posters, or oral presentations resulting from work performed by The Metabolomics Innovation Centre acknowledge TMIC. This allows the Centre to report information to our funding agencies, such as impact on Canadian researchers. Clients should also keep us apprised of any publications, posters, or oral presentations arising from work performed at TMIC.
